You never said what engine it was for though;)

So not only do Fiat use diferent sized spare wheels you are now saying are you that they use different size sump plugs in the stilo as well AAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH:bang:

at PNL- typical fiat!

I over filled my Ibiza without realising and then went up to the lakes (about an hour and a half mway driving).

got there no trouble but wouldnt start properly on the way back and then on the motorway started blowing blue smoke, stopped at lancaster services and there was oil everywhere under the bonnet and in the air filter, but wasnt in the AA and no one to tow me the 30 odd miles + back to my house, so decided to drive it. eventually got it started again and by preston it stopped smoking and was ok- although i wouldnt advise it in a more modern car with a more sophisticated engine

I think what was trying to be said was that the sump drain is EITHER:

- 12mm Allen key (used on lots of FIATs going back to the 128 in 1969!)
- 17mm socket (i.e. the sump plug is a 'bolt').

The latter is easy to arrange (most socket sets cover 17mm) and the former requires either a 12mm Allen key bought seperately from a tool shop (try to also find a piece of steel tube for use as an extension), or the 'sump plug kit' that was mentioned (most of the other fittings will be for weird French cars).

I think the reference to 'grey' refers not to the body colour but instead to the importation status, i.e. not sold new in the UK and so possibly having a different engine :)
