in nanni Ricambi sells a remote housing adapter

do they also sell an oil pump gear modification?

To the best of my knowledge, nobody sells the modified oil-pump gear---you have to carry out the modification yourself.

with the mod insert grub screw on the oil pump gear what oil pressure are you getting with remote filter and oil cooler??
i read somewhere 2 bar that seems low...

Hi Speedy, I have been running the afore mentioned mod in my oil pump with the Nanni spin-on filter adaptor. With Mobil 1 10w 60 I get just over 4 bar cold and when hot the pressure drops to just over 2 bar. I only use a small cooler, but have 1/2" BSP fittings and pipes to keep the pressure down and the oil flow up. It does help that when required the cooling fan will auto-start to keep everything below 90 to 95degC when I press-on. I have had No problems with this set up even when running the car hard on a rolling road test.
Ian.

Guys as you know i am a little obsessed with engine cooling so i took it a step further removed the oil cooler from the engine bay and put it under the floor. Had a ride today with family (Greek hot days are here) in a 4-5 kilometer long straight hill road at 80 km/h. Oil temp was not more than 80 Celsius all the time!! As soon as I got lower speeds due to traffic, temp climbed to 95 C. The faster you go the cooler you get!! I have also noticed that when you find an open road oil needs about a couple of minutes to start dropping. So I think this is the complete mod for someone that wants to have an effective oil cooling system. Ok I maybe add a small electric fan, switch activated for those hot traffic days.:D:D NOTE I have secured the two hoses with aviation type clamps, two of those are direct bolted to the oil pan screws, so hoses for the rest of their travel are following engine movement and I have also removed lower bay cover.

Hi Thomas, Looks like a good well thought out modification. I too have a problem with rising temperature when in traffic, but the fan takes care of excessive high temperature. If you fit one with a thermal switch try to have one that switches on early to prevent too high a temperature and too long a cool down period. (y)(y)(y)

Here is one more oil cooler report from my latest setup with oil cooler under the floor. I had a trip a week ago, 200 kilometers combined high way and hill climbing at a very hot day for a trip that lasted about 3.5 hours. Temperature on the highway was between 88-92 all the time at an average speed of 80kmh and while on the steep Greek mountains it reached 100, but i was chasing a guy in his modern car nose to tail:D otherwise not more than 95 on a steep climb with 2nd gear and low speed. It can do better but don't want to push the little beast.:)
