I was completely gobsmacked, the **** in the Vauxhell was grinning like a bastard. Mind you the sound his little motor was making gave me cause to think there was a turbo & dump valve involved. My children are so ashamed that their Dad was beaten by someone in the same model of car that their older sister drives, they even started making excuses up for me lol.

The corsa with a calibra turbo lump is dubbed a COBRA i believe. Very fast and very silly!!!

Come on lets put this corsa up against a real Bravo, a remapped JTD, the torque should be high enough to either keep up or even gain advantage on it but would probably get killed at top end, however atleast once you get to 30MPH and your infront you just ease back and not break the law and yet still grin by beating them to 30MPH.

HGT's are a thing of the past, hehe.

J my mate has got a corsa turbo! Calibra turbo lump in it runing 230bhp it is devistating! i cant even knock it! in a straight line with the launch control installed he is up with the scooby's! type r's but its **** on the corners as the front is too heavy and the back has a tendancy of becoming the front on roundabouts!

the conversion is very simple the rear engine mount is moved down 1.5inches and it just drops in! Preformance Vauxhall Developments make all the drive shafts etc for it then all you need is a wireing loom form the doner car better breaks, bit of time on the rollers and you have a monster!

oh and it will kill a remaped jtd by a mile its in the super hatch league with that kind of engine! no point even trying they will just play with you!

he put down a 0-62 in 5.1secs at santa pod!

biggest production is a 1.8 in uk.... allan walls has an 8v 2litre turbo conversion. and im thinking of getting a loan in august for a engine conversion

2.0 20v turbo conversion will get it moving but ur gonna need a hell of a deep wallet to get it runing as quick as a corsa turbo! remember the corsa is a very light car!

Alfa do a 2.4jtd that does something like 200bhp easy. i dont know what Nige can take that to.

not sure if it came tuned to 200bhp, but i think its the same lump, yeah. Also, i see on the new fiat range its the 1.9 and a 130ish bhp 2.2 jtd they r using?

What is it with these Damn Corsa's, they may look sporty and evil looking at night, but where I live (Isle of Wight), most of them are driven by cocky little sod's thinking their god's gift until I get right up their ass and give them a fast country road beating.
Oh, and I only drive a 100TD Marea weekend, It soon annoys them when an estate is keeping up with them at silly speeds.

Just thought I'd make my point.

There is a huge point being missed here.

When you are driving your Bravo, you are driving an Italian car the looks good that people look good in.

The other guy is driving a Corsa - made in Luton - hmmmmm. It doesnt look good and when you park up together.... he has a Corsa, it doesnt matter how fast the car is....it is a Corsa and, as on here, you said you were embarrased as a Corsa beat you - thats the image - a shitty Corsa, it really doesnt matter if its a 4.0 litre V8...its a Corsa!


I wouldnt have even bothered trying to beat a Corsa.... I would do what andy and myself always do with these cars.... point and laugh hysterically! I did this to a guy with a Asthma Coupe with a huge DTM 'Zorst etc on the other day and he got out of his car.... so I laughed even more at his Rouders Cap

I know someone who hs done summot similar with the corsa but if you dont do it write u shaft the car as it literally twists it, the corsa chasis was never made for the power that some of these people are trying to put through it,

anyway I have raced many a high powered car when I had my metro 1.1 and beat em (well initially), its the respsonse to getting of the mark that counts
