Getting on rightly with this... Oil changed, then flushed then changed again with new filters and then spark plugs but then the injector light came on so it's some super unleaded and injector cleaner. It's more likely the lambda or something expensive but we'll live in hope
Last thing was the electric window... It was just the switch on the consol so that was only 8 quid
Off to Co Donegal tomorrow so we'll see how she gets on!
Well Jim whats the up-date? All fixed or still at square one?
Hope you had a good trip in the b, i haven't moved mine since that day i popped down to see you, such a waste of a great car
Thats weird that its on and off, problem is to connect it to the diagnostic computer is very expensive, does the engine run funny when the light is on?
Funny enough Jim the SPI panda has similar symptoms and it's usually the Lambda sensor when the ign light comes on. Maybe worth taking it out and giving it a good scrub. The Engine may have been compensating previously for the extra air getting in through the loose plug and as a result it's been over rich and sooted up the O2 sensor?
Well it seems that it was the throttle body that was some how doing it cause after a strip and a damn good clean the car is runnin really well!
Now, just some new tires to go for the mot...
Jim
Just after I bought 4 tyres for the barchetta the bloody door stops opening on the drivers side!
Stuart had a look inside and didn't like what he saw....
Worn parts, broken return springs and even after a lot of bodging I can just open and close the door, not able to lock it... So bit the bullet and ordered a new one from Fiat at 100 quid As the door was all pulled apart I thought I'd swallow the land mine of getting a new electric window to fix my floppy pain of glass so that was another 160 quid... On top of the tyres so that took us to 500 big ones in one afternoon!
