Hey everyone.
Last week the fuel pump on my 500 1.4 died and in a rush, I replaced it with a ERA unit. The new pump is very loud and I'd like to know the brand of the original pump. The old one that came out of the tank was unmarked. I assume a cheap pump installed by the previous owner.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unusual failure is a fuel pump - not unknown but not common either. Very likely the failed one was the original. Personally I'd be going for a known supplier for this like: https://www.shop4parts.co.uk/?name=store&op=Product&ProdID=6370
S4p are very approachable and I'd be giving them a ring for advice (I'm not guaranteeing the above pump is correct for your actual car)

Since I'm not from the UK that isn't an option. I'll be ringing my local fiat dealer later today to get a price for an OEM pump. Otherwise, I'll try buying either a Bosch or Magneti Marelli pump.

The standard pump will come from one of several suppliers.. any car manufacturer will use components from multiple suppliers, in case one has a problem.

Genooine Fiat pumps could be Bosch, Magneti Marelli, or Valeo .. they also use TRW, Luk and Borg&Beck for a lot of components... but those latter seem to be suspension/chassis rather than electricals.

Valeo tend to leave their stamp on their parts, even if the FCA logo is next to it... as does Bosch to a lesser extent.

I would leave the ERA in there... it may quieten down once it's run a few kms...?
