I was told by my Fiat dealer that I needed to buy a new Airbag ECU. I obviously did some research and found people who can wipe the crash data from my ECU for a lot less than a new one. I've gone and had this done but the odometer is still flashing. No warning lights come on whilst driving.
Can any of you experts guide me as to what to do now?
Car is a 2008 500 1.2 lounge

Cheers
Chris

Agree with Proxi Aligment.

Will not guarantee that this will fix the problem but NORMALLY a flashing oddometer is the car body computer signalling that there is an unrecognised module/ECU on the cars computer CAN bus.

A proxi alignment allows all vehicle systems to register themselves.

A small note of caution! Doing a proxi alignment (to my knowledge) does a full regegistration of all attached systems. *IF* you have a non standard/aftermarket system added to your car (say a funky radio & sat nav) then running a proxi alignment *MAY* register non standard/unknown devices as alien and flash the oddometer again.

No it shouldn't as 99.9% of after market headunits are not canbus compatible and will not be connected to the canbus network ;)
