o2 sim/tesco network

Hey... does anyone know if an o2 simcard will work with a Tesco mobile network'ed mobile?

Apparently, o2 sims will not work in a phone that is locked to Tesco, however, a Tesco sim, will work in a o2 locked phone.

Im on an o2 sim only contract (couldn't decide on new mobile so downgraded contract), and i've seen a phone I quite like, but I can only find it on Tesco mobile... an LG something or other

Can't you just take it to local market and get it unlocked?

I wouldn't trust my local market as far as I could throw them And... don't want to buy a mobile then it be money wasted

take a few large mates to the market as well

It's bound to be avaliable on o2 or sim free from some shop/website or another.
