Technical number plate fault on 130 mutijet

Hi all
Seemore here again
130 Multijet ducato based Chausson 85 Motorhome

While I have been checking out the problem with the reversing light and fog light I noticed that the number plate lights are not working.
I replaced the lamps and cleaned up the terminals but on testing I found that there is not any voltage present.
I checked all the fuses under the bonnet and the ones inside the cab but they all seem ok.:bang:
Are there any other fuses tucked away anywhere?

Also does anyone know where I can download I wiring diagram that will cover the rear section of the vehicle

You'll need to go to the manufacturer of the motor home for any wiring diagrams although these are not always helpful,

The cab and chassis are supplied by fiat with the connections for rear lights including the number plate lights, to tap into when building the body what the camper company do when they get their hands on it is anyone's business

Hi Seemore

You are having fun aren't you !! The rear light wiring loom from the front of the vehicle makes its way to the rear valance area and then distributes to each light cluster. If it were me I would remove each rear light cluster in turn, make a note of the wiring colour code to each bulb so you don't mix them up, and perhaps with the help of someone sitting in the cab and using a 12v meter, go through each wire checking what's live and what's not when power is called for. You'll get there in the end !!

google SEARCH is probably best here..,

you'l want Ducato 130 chassis cab wiring - type search criteria, :idea:

a lot of these diagrams are NOT in english,
but you should be able to follow the scheme,

your current problem could just be a lost earth / ground though..

Look under the warsrobe floor for a junction box also under the van chasssis floor for a junction box full of corroded PCB.
