Goodday all ,

I am owner of a Punto twin air 2013.

I have a problem with a notification “check parking lights”.

I checked the lights and swapped them and checked the ground connections.

Has anybody have any ideas?

Kind regards
Mike

The replacement bulbs are standard bulbs and not LED upgrades I take it?

Is the notification permanent, or does it pop up when braking?
Are you checking them on their own, or with other lights illuminated?

Each lamp has individual feeds to each bulb, but relies on a shared earth. If that earth has a problem, broken or poor connection, when a bulb lights, it searches an earth via one of the others. A common issue is that the parking lights find an earth via the brake lights, then when braking, that earth path disappears, and the two fight. This can also ocur when parking lights and indicators are used, or any other 'pair' at once.
Standing at the back of the car, have a helper turn on the parking lights, then add the brake lights, then each indicator in turn, and the reverse lights. That may show the issue.
Then do the same at the front. Whilst at the front, also check the brakes. I have seen, a few times, where brake lights find an earth back into the parking light circuit, illuminating the front lights as they find an earth at the headlamp connection.

There has also been a problem with some Puntos suffering a burned connector in the left rear lamp. So unplug and check carefully. I think replacements are available on ebay.
