i'd like to get a small flashing LED to maybe sit on my dash and operate when the ignition is off, to give the appearance of an alarm, to detter theives does anyone know what it would involve to do this?

Im pretty sure maplins sell a make it yourself led kit which would serve your purpose well.

I got a ready made LED off ebay, just connect the live to a permanant live and the negative to an ignition live. This way when the ignition is on it doesent flash but when off you get the live and negative to make it flash!
Cost me 90p, Bargain just make sure is a "flashing led" cause it'l look poo if not lol
