Now I know I am uber anti-bimmer but I think this works quite well.

Is that one of those angel eye inserts Tom?

Is that in a Fiat headlight too? (Didn't think they'd fit in ours)

I found a bag of white LEDs I never sold, have a smashed marea headlamp sitting around (thankyou royal mail, you utter F***ERS!) and a bit of spare time.

Tom...please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please make me a set!!!

PLEASE!!! you made daz the dash, thats just favouritisum!!! :(

Paul R

Hmm.. I get the feeling you want some.... :)

Daz paid me for the dash, I didn't do it for free ;)

This was just a 10 min 'I wonder what...' test, I have no idea if they will survive having the dip beam on, thats the next test. 55W bulbs get F-F-FOOOOOKIN hot.

oh yeah... incase you didnt catch it i wouldnt mind a set! ;)

Paul R

can you do the same with the main beam? and the side light! and the indicator! :)

Paul R

Not easy for the main beam but I could have a try.

Not poss on the indicator/sidelight.

ok, they look cool like that anyways! :)

how did you do it? did you have to remove the poly thingy thing ????does it still make a pattern needed for mots?

Paul R

Not saying how its done ;) But I do have access to a full manual machine shop, ie. my garage :) Hope to go CNC over the summer!

The poly headlamp is still there, its just something that sits around the lense as I think the stock marea sidelight is so utterly gay.

What!!! i love the marea ligts! that would be cool then if it just a ring over the top... did you have to split the unit... if so i have another job for you at the same time... ;)

whats cnc?

Paul R

Like I said, it was a smashed light so I took it to bits for fun :)

CNC, computer numeric control, computer tells the mill/lathe what to do rather than muggins having to turn the handles. AutoCAD it, put the lump of metal on the machine and hit go.

oh got ya... they have them here at uni... dont get let lose on them for a while though!! :(

well i have thre marea lights...

1 drivers side (which is fine)

2 passenger sides... on flops about inside (the one i have now and a perfect lense) and the other was broken by royal mail also but glued it together for mot then put the old one back on!!!

so i need the lense from my origonal on my new one which is broken... as well as 2 angel eyes!

Paul R

I think royal mail have it in for marea lamps.

If it doesn't melt when I turn the dip beam on I may just let a set escape.
