Hi guys. My uno does not want to idle properly. It started this 2 days ago. It was fine before. Now when I start it does not want to idle smoothly my rev counter needle is jumping from 1000 to 2000 the whole time. Driving is fine. Then its smooth but as soon as my clutch goes in it isles weakly. Feels like it wants to do. And when I switch the ignition off off it pre ignites then the moter kicks off. Please help. I'm not exactly sure here. Its a 1242 palio motor with a 1.1 uno head

Problem solved. When to a bud of mine at carb doctor. The problem was the positive lead to the carb. It was not giving current. I have an electrical short. So for a temp repair. I connected a wire from the battery to the carb. Just gota take it off every time I park my car. Double thumbs up to carb doctor east london south africa!

Ah yes - that's the fuel cutoff solenoid (red or orange wire attached to it). Thanks for letting us know. The real solution is probably to run a wire from that to the red/orange wires on the ignition coil (not to the green wire on the ignition coil).

For future reference, those solonoids were always a bit dicky, alot of mechanics used to simply cut the plunger off the end with pliers!
