i just used injector cleaner for my 1.9 jtd fuel consumption gone from 43 mpg to 59 mpg was runnin abit crap before i used that so to me id say the injector cleaning stuff actually works

generally they are as much use as tits on a fish... ur better off using 99 octane petrol. they have cleaning agents added to them anyway. better option is to spend money on premium fuels and a good service.

Never used injector cleaner in the tank, but if you get a spray can its great for shifting oil and gunk from throttle bodies and other surfaces..

just be careful to avoid the gunk getting into the engine as this could cause even more problems.

Use posh petrol in any car with a knock sensor and you'll get better miles per £ than ordinary unleaded. I'm paying about 4p or 5p more per litre but getting about 10% better mpg so well into profit.
You also get all the cleaning additives that Wynns etc charge so much for. If the car does not have a knock sensor you wont see an mpg improvement other than from the cleaner injectors etc.

If you go to France their basic petrol is very low octane and diesel is low cetane so bottled boosters are well worth using to avoid stupidly low mpg
