Northern camping trip?

well glad you was sorted out and you got your tent.

Even though its a bit of a trip dont forget to stop by again (y)

Has anyone got any objections to Waterside House on Ullswater in the Lakes as a venue? Its got decent, free facilities, good pitching ground and its a nice distance walk to Pooley Bridge where there are some damn good pubs.

Price for pitching is on par with other sites. It's a short car journey from Penrith where the BBQ food can be bought. Also got easy access to loads of great roads.

There you go. That's my sell. If you enjoyed the Northern meet venue then you should like this place too. Hellcat out.

slightly off topic but relevent to whats been said on it in past, have u managed to put your tent up yet?

If you put it up and it pisses it down, let it dry out naturally, dont pack away a wet tent away cos you will get the canvas mouldy (y)

If you do have to pack it away wet, remember to dry it out asap :)

That's right, or it'll dry crusty.

Or am I on the wrong track again?

Yes thats right. A mould/crust develops. Once mould develops on tents you cant get rid of it but you can stop it spreading.

Although if you did pack it away, being a new tent you might get away with it the first time although i wouldnt recommend it
