awww dude!!! :( that's harsh. At least it's repairable though :) All the best, mate

yeah but technically you have not been in an accident if you where not in the car. your car has. so you could get them with that. i had an accident about three months ago in a hire car, an asian guy reversed into me when he was on his phone, i got out and started taking pictures of his car and mine with my camera fone. the fella saw his ass and handed all his details over and then took them back. walked to a cash machine over the road and tried to give me a settlement....i should have took it but then i would have had to pay the damage to the hire company so i got the details back... the moral is. if you have a camera fone use it. then they have no comeback by changing their story when they get home.....

Drove the Sei to the bodyshop and picked up my Skoda Fabia 1.2 - it was either that, a Rover CityRover (which they said was crap) and a new fiat punto active - didn't want the punto since its only a face lift and they haven't changed much if anything else on it

not got a price on repairs yet, but i was told it'll need new front panel, new bonnet, new bumper and some jigging or somethin like that. So that means i'll lose my spotlights, and my dragon on the bonnet... but i also lose the stone chip marks too with new bonnet.
i'll get the price on monday. and tell you all.

Bad luck, someone up there has a thing against Fiats, I keep on getting people pull out right in front of me, tailgate me etc. It's not just the cinqs/ seis. Fortunately it is fixable, pity about your custom bonnet, sounded good :(

make the bastard pay for it all even if it means filling a civil claim against him/her, im sick of hearing about dodgy drivers getting away with accidents.

and babysei is that you in your avatar if so you like quite nice :)

Awe poor u n ur car - didn't think about the dragon :( that's real crap.

I've had two no fault claims and didn't lose NCB each time but its still a real hassle

<big hug>

I'd better leave this FF lark if it is jinxed - don't want anything to happen to my baby ;)

hehe... too bad i somehow go for the unavailable ladies..

new info... i am uber pi$$ed off now... Endsleigh.. my insurance company.. call me up and ask questions about my mods.. i.e. side skirts, spoiler etc... i told em the body kit/alloys were standard.. and i've only done air filter, rev counter, exhaust, shocks and that i declared them when i took the policy out... and i ask the lady on the phone why she's asking about them... it turns out.. the person i spoke to when i initally took my cover out... somehow hasn't declared them on the insurance!!!
me, finding that out is uber pissed off since i paid like £200 on top of my original quote just for declaring those mods.. to find they ain't on the quote!
anyway, i've phoned em back with the details of who i spoke to and when (i have the precise time down to a second)... so now its gone to their "technical assistance" people or something like that to get a recording of our insurance convo... so god knows when i get my car back and if they'll repair it for me now cuz of some wanking tosser over the phone wanting my money... i have it in me to go to their office (which just happens to be local and where he works) and kill him... :bang: <-- imagine the wall as his head...

I'm sure every insurer trys this Ray, my Dad's Volvo got the side taken out and on inspection the Assessor said "Those alloys aren't standard!" we kindly drew his attention to the letters on th centre cap V-O-L-V-O!

Just keep on at them, it would suprise you the amount of folks who don't fight for what's there's.

Chin up mate.

Liam

oh i will... declared air filter... tints... exhaust... suspension.
they noticed the aftermarket rev counter and asked if it made a performance difference, i said no.. its just a rev counter... and that the only thing that did make a difference was the air filter... imo the exhaust doesn't its just loud and stainless.

who could i complain to if they don't?
GSIC and their head office?

This insurance 'discrepancy' <sp?> thing seems to happen an awful lot. It has almost happened to me before until I got them to amend my insuance certificate to list all my mods so it's there in black and white and they can't deny the fact that they have all my details. Folks out there - check your insurance and what they think you have on your car and what you have - you'll be surprised by the differences. I think it's just a cunning insurance co rip off money making scheme!!!!
