new front bumper.. new front panel, new indicator..

perhaps a new bonnet... its a bit angled at the moment.

i was going straight ahead... and some guy on the side road decides to pull out in front of me. i brake and swerve to the right.. he clips the front end of my car.

my no claims bonus is gone too.. :(

it'd be another fortune to get it insured again next year.

i only just got cover yesterday as well!

ahh well... we shall see...

the car is gonna get collected monday. i'll most likely get a ford KA as courtesy car.

why your NCB gone if it wasnt your fault

Cos insurance companies are robbing gits !! I had my car stolen 18 months
ago and they took my no claims bonus off me !! Had to start from scratch
again !! :\

You tried to settle without getting the insurance involved?

At least you're ok and it could have been a lot worse.

your NCB shouldnt be affected if it wasnt your fault and u claim against the other persons insurance, u have to pay the excess though, but u get that back later...screw them for everything u can

i remember when my mate reversed into the side of a BMW convertable his dad said never say your sorry at the scene of an accident, even if it was 50/50, never say your sorry cos your saying it was your fault, which can then be used against you and can result in it going on your insurance

just sommat to remember if theyre are and cento's left to be in accidents

When my neighbour hit my car that was parked up whilst I was in the house it still cost me money for my insurance.

Its the "Have you made any claims in the last...." that gets you. Even if the claim is against someone else's policy. If they cannot get you with that then, "Have you been involved in an accident in the last...." will do it.

thats a good point... they better paint match it well.
was gonna wash it tomorrow too...

bah.. if only i had the touch of death on my hand... like homer simpson did in yesterdays sky if anyone watched it. twas a good episode. :)

Whenever you declare a claim or an accident where you weren't to blame, make sure you tell them it was a No Fault Claim and always be honest about the cost.

Ray - you should argue for your NCB, if it's not your fault then they will reclaim the cost of your claim from the other party - normally this doesn't affect your NCB (it didn't effect mine with Esure when I was rear-ended last year). Basically you're not claiming on your insurance, but on his through your insurance company - so why should you lose your NCB?
