Ive paired my Nokia N95 8gb to the blue&me system fine and transfered the phonebook across and succesfully made a phone call.

The problem is when i switch the phone off and come back to the car the next day, the phone wont connect to blue&me. Ive got auto authorisation turned on.
Ive tried it with it turned off.

The phone is getting the bluetooth signal by the (*) indication but it wont connect, it just keeps on trying but doesnt connect.
If its swtiched to manual authorisation it says "Accept connection from blue&me" if i press OK again it just continues searching and doesnt connect.

Ive successfully had it working for 5 days, connecting everytime i get in the car, then all of a sudden it just wont connect!!.

Any ideas?

* Ive got it to connect again now, put it on charge for 20mins and turned the bluetooth off, went into my car, set it to MAR and then switched the bluetooth on and it connected upto the car straight away.

If the battery is getting low does this have an effect?, isnt there enough power to connect??, i was also leaving the bluetooth on the device all the time, is it best to turn it off when not in the car? *

Bit of a post hijack. Sorry for that :).

How did you manage to transfer your contacts to the blue and me. I tried lastnight and when I started, got a message saying connection to blue and me lost.

When I first paired up to blue&me it asked if i wanted to send contacts and i said "yes" it then failed and said transfer them manually.

So.

I went into the phone book, did mark all.
Then went to send business card
then selected via bluetooth
and it connected to blue&me and sent all the contacts.

The system then counts up on the dashboard as the contacts are copied over and it beeps after each one. When completed just press the phone button.

If you have your phone already paired, press talk, say settings, then select users and delete all user data. This will delete all the phone details.
You can then pair up the phone again by saying 'settings, then pairing'.

Worked a treat. Cheers mate (y)

Now all I have to do is get the woman to understand a Yorkshire accent haha.

scooby I know a lot of poeple having trouble with the bluetooth on the standard n95 in that it often crashes the phone. I haven't received my 500 yet but i'll let you know how my n95 fares when I do. It sounds as though it could be a power issue though. Sorry can't be more help at the mo

Ill see what happens when i get in the car in the morning.
If it works first time I think it could be like you say a power issue. When the battery is getting low it wont connect.

Ive got a fully charged battery now so ill see in the morning and post the results tomorrow night.

Mine connected ok again lastnight when I went to collect my lass from work. Maybe it is to do with the power. I tend to connect my phone to the car with the car charger that came with it.

Worked fine this morning and tonight when ive come home. It looks like it is a power issue, when the battery is getting low it has trouble connecting. Ill keep an eye on it over the next few weeks.

I tried connecting the in car charger yesterday, the phone was charging up but again wouldnt connect. As soon as i gave it abit of charge via the mains charger it connected up fine.

I cant work this out. My battery was just about to give up tonight before i got in the car. Get in and what happens it connects straight away!. so there goes the theory that its low power causing the problem!.

Thanks for all that Scooby, I'll keep this thread updated with my n95 results when I get the car.
Cheers

Hiya mate,

There has been a lot of problems with bluetooth systems, so far most of them are or have been cured by means of a new bluetooth convergance unit, phone the dealer and ask them to order one in for the car, or take it to the dealer and suggest this might be the fault ???

If i hear of any of developments ill be sure to post (y)

Thanks. My phone seems to be ok at the moment, its been working fine for the past couple of weeks, connecting each time.
If it fails again ill pop back to the dealer and let them know about the bluetooth convergance unit.

Well i have a nokia n95 8gb second series and mine didn't pair up properly at first, but now after i've deleted blue&me off the phone and started a pair again, everytime i get in the car it connects! absolutely brilliant piece of kit when it works :)
