My Marea Weekend 1,6 has started to sound strange from the gearbox when idle.
There is a "rattling" noice witch disappear when i rev the engine or press down the clutch.
The noice i so strong sometimes that bypassers that hear this make comments on "the broken engine".

In my contacts with the garage, they say that this noice is normal, and that nothing can be done about it.
Im a bit confued because this noice did not appear when I bought the car. I have been driving 20000km since then. ( meter now on 80000km)

Does anyone have any clue about the reason for this noice, and how I can avoid it?

a rattle in neutral that disappears with the clutch pedel is pressed is almost always the thrust bearing on the clutch. if its time to change that then you should consider a full 3 part clutch kit in the not too distant future. my bravo needed a new clutch at 50000mls which is the same as 80000km so it seems realistic.

Tnx for the tips.
I had a contact with a mecanic that confirmed that it was the thrust bearing on the clutch that was the problem.
And the best part is that the dealers warranty covers parts and work.:D
