Noise when decelerating

Hi All,

Getting a strange rattle like noise when I put my foot totally off the accelerator.. goes away as soon as I push the accelerator and the noise only happens when the car is in motion (no noise when car is stationary)

Was told it could be a wheel bearing but don't know how this could be the case given it's fine when the car is picking up speed.

Any ideas???

wheel bearing, CV joint, diff bearing, gearbox bearing, many things.

When you accelerate there is a load on all the parts, when you lift off the load is far less and you can get rattles.

Cheers for the advice - just seemed strange to me but you seem right. Getting it fixed up after the weekend so hopefully nothing major.
