no power to stereo please help!

i recently had my car repaired and the multichanger was removed. A new battery needed to be fitted as the old one was dead. i have now reconnected the disk changer but there seems to be no power to the stereo or the changer as normally i press a little button and the cartridge pops out but this isnt happening at the moment. I was expecting the lcd to prompt for the security code but this does not happen i can get no response from it at all. i have checked the two stereo fuses but they are fine. can anyone suggest anything it could be? thanks andrew thompson. ps i have a bravo hlx 1.8 16v

I have a simalar problem, my stereo only comes on when the lights are on, which is strange.
