Bravo 1.4 12v N reg.

Had to do a head gasket, put everything back together and then it threw off 2 of its rockers!! Havign reassembled I now have no compression. There is a slight leak in the oil pipes that feed the drips to the crankshaft.
Would the leak affect the oil pressure switch?
would lack of oil pressure then stop the car firing?
It turns over but with no compression!!

Grrrrr!

It appears it had something to do with the engine management system. i did the disconnect the battery for 45 mins trick and hey presto one running car.

Sounds like your timing is right out!!! No compression means the valves and pistons are not operating in sync!!!

Last post re sticky / burnt valve may be right, seeing as it dropped one after 9 laps right into cylinder number 1, ouch!! Another engine strip down on its way, have a spare but hopefully I will only need to swap the head, subject to piston condition.
