No, it seems to be nothing like here for cover. You go to mexico and you buy insurance at the border for Mexico. You live in Mexico and drive into the US and you phone Annette at extension 306 and she'll sort you out at there local office in Mexico for cover in the US....

Seemingly the minute I say "Hi, I'm bringing my car from the UK to the USA for 5 weeks can you insure me?" their little minds shut down and say 'NO' before you can say another word

OK. Phoned that guy and it's bad. America has shut it's doors on forgin insurance and driven him out of business. apparenty there is no way to cover Sylvia...
