I'm staying with the truckers on the right and keeping it under 65. Thanks for the best wishes, I'll only trade if some one sends a gear box to chris obert (yeah, Gandalf) in california.
This looks like it's going to be our own version of a Top Gear challenge! I'm now 50 miles from chicago now. hope to make it to my friend Neal's tonight in des moines and we'll have a look at the linkage there

I'm in trouble already... On interstate 94 heading to chicago and I've just lost 5th gear.
That was careless... next time keep an eye of where you left it. that what you get for showing off and ragging it in the car park autocross (incidentely, how many right hand drive front wheel entries were there?)

You bring mean to new levels and it probably a good job I can't see that picture!
btw, Gandalf says Hi... Chris is going to be in oregon so I'll get him to look under the back seat in case i left 5th there.

nah it's far too silly to be mean... and your flair for self promotion is so far from being a secret it's ... well fairly well publicised actually.

Just take it easy on the car, for a little while longer. Until the gear is recovered and the distributer is fitted... we all want to see the car make it across and back. Keep it up Jim (y)

I'm on the Iowa plain's and theses warnings all over the radio about storms heading towards me at 25 miles an hour. So it's either risk the gearbox and floor it or get peppered by golf ball sized hail at 60 mph! You can feel the electric in the air... ****e. it's started
