Multipla newbie with door handle problems

hi guys n gals, I have a 2008 multipla and drivers door handle broken so I now have to go threw passengers side door to get in does anyone no where I can get a new handle and how easy it would be to replace and if I cant get one would I be able to take the back door one and replace it with the front. I have tried everywhere I can think for cheapness being xmas time money is tight thx in advance, its an external door handle

Hi, and welcome,

normally, you have to remove the door card / trim ( like handles)

then the outer handle will have a control rod / cable linking it to the lock mechanism,
then unbolt the inner fixings at it should come away.

is the actual outer structure BROKEN or it's just no longer unlocking the door latch..??,

hi and thx for replay and sorry it took a while, new yrs partys n all lol.
ok so its the exterior door handle. the door would not close even though the handle was broken in half it still worked, but this day I pushed it down and the door still would not close and I was 40miles from home, so out of frustration I got the door handle and ripped it off, not thinking !!! but I could see the rod inside so with a long screwdriver I was able to push it down then I could close door, so all I have now is the cover of the door handle and nothing else as I pulled it all off out of anger seen as I cant find a door handle anywhere do you think I could use the rear one as its a pain getting through passenger side
