Hi all

I am considering buying a Panda 100HP.

Just had a look at the issues post and it hasn't been updated in a while.

Can anyone suggest things I should be asking/looking when viewing a potential purchase at the dealer?

Thanks

Service history, cambelt change, seat bolsters for wear, rear bump stops in good condition, squeaky front brakes

:yeahthat: 5yrs / 72k or 4 years under extreme usage (low mileage etc).

But the same series of engine had a lot of premature failures in other vehicle and the belt manufactures have revised the interval to 36 months or 36k, personally I do it at 3 years which is about 55k-60k for us :)

You should ask "Can I take it for a drive?"

The 100hp is quite a "Clown" to drive, it is quite stiffly sprung and I'm sure it's not to everybody's taste. Bouncy-ish, nice induction growl and I can get mine to pop out of the exhaust especially on gear changes and if I want to. It's got really quite well sorted suspension for such a short & narrow wheelbase, makes it behave well when driving like an idiot. If you want to you can embarrass other cars costing many times more than you've spent.
Decent fuel economy too considering the way it can get driven.

But seriously, take it for a drive, then ask yourself "Yes it's bonkers, but can I live with bonkers every day?"
