hi i havbe a 1.2 bravo compelte standard but with 17 alloys on low profile tyres with 205/40 i was wondering how much i canlower by by not causign any rubbing or touchign or have any impact if someoen sits on the back can ia pic be produced of the max i can lower? will i just be better buyign an aftermarket kit to extend the bottom fo front and rear bumpers with skirts??

It depends, I have 17's with 205/40's on, lowered about 35mm on Eibach's.

If I really stick it into a corner, or go over the long undulating bumps on the motorway, it will rub on the arch liners.

If you remove the arch liners you can go -60mm.

35 mm is that millimetres??
so it'll go down 35mm more then it is now??

told you im new to lowering..

is that def ride??
if i leave the standard springs/susp on etc.

am i looking at a conformatable ride
the current 17s are quite bumpy..

also got a pic/

You change the springs, so that it sits 35 millimetres lower than it did before, however, I also recommend that you change the shocks as well, as its pointless not to, and the old shocks will more than likely be knackered anyway.

You wont get a comfy ride on 17's if you lower it, I am running Eibach springs, which are supposed to give good ride comfort, but are very stiff, and give a hard ride, but I don't mind.

I will try and put a put up, but you can sort of see it in my sig (below)

i have my 1.2 lowered 25 mm on a full spax rsx kit and that is one hell of a firm ride, the eibachs are almost luxorious in comparison, but im strange and love the harder ride, i know exactly whats going on all the time... even subtle surface changes

thats on 17". personally for a drop and ride comfort its got to be the eibachs, but it wont be silky smooth as the springs are that bit firmer

mines lowered 60mm on 17s (suuposedly) but i dont think the spring has actually lowered it that much, and i have had 5 overweight people in my car and never did it once catch over speed bumps or anything, this was before my bodykit thought, i think if your planning on getting a kit ur best to put the kit on first then see how much u can lower

60 woah

say i had 15 how much would i be able to drop it
with the car left as standard..

the same as 17, the tyre profile on 35s on 17inch wheels is the same as a 15 inch wheel on 55 profile so its basically the same.

Sorry to correct you Rascal, but 17's are on a 40 profile.
