Technical New to Fiat Punto - Advise?

Hi All

I am looking to buy a cheap run around car with automatic gearbox, I Have seen few puntos on autotrader From 1998 onwards and my maximum budget is £1000.

Questions are: Hows Old Punto's are with auto gear box and what else should I look for when I go and have a look at the car.

Tbh mate...
i would personally suggest a Mk2. Mk2 are from 2000 or 2001 forwards i think
you will know a Mk2 tho .. the mk1 has a rectangle window on back, mk2 has a wierder shape lol take a look through members puntos and see the diffrent ones, also check out at the top "classified" might be one on there

£1000 will be a struggle to find a good one and repairs will seriously push up the costs.
