new Sub and old Amp

Hey all

i got a new sub from ebay lastnight there 2x panasonic's 12's 800w i think in a box, a man that sold them to me showed me them working before i swapped cash etc.

ive put them into my car using my old tornado 4x75w amp but its set to 2ohms now i presume these bigger subs are 4-8 ohms but i cant find a data sheet about them.

so im gonna guess here i need a better amp to go with the sub pref 2 channel 400w+ that uses 2-8ohms? just to keep it safe?

i get some noise but its so quiet and distorted the indicator light on the amp also flashes (earth live and remote are fine) but also after wiring in both subs only one is driven.

Get a multi meter to check the coil configurations before doing anything. Then post up what they are.
