Hi Guys,

Just wanted to get a general opinion really!
Always had 500s and loved them, never had any issues! In September 19 I got the new Star 500 model which I was so excited for! Within a week of having the vehicle I couldn't start it and the ignigtion barrel had failed. So it was back in the garage for two weeks! After a few more problems and issues and the latest is that after months of driving around with a creaking steering wheel the garage inform me the airbag spring was broken and needs new parts! I'm now without the vehicle AGAIN!
I am really unconfident about the car now and just want to give it back!
Just wondered what would you do in my situation? (n)

You can use other dealers..
That know what they are doing..

Tricky to know how to proceed, I sympathise. The problems you have had don't seem to be "common" 500 issues, there's a good chance that if the steering wheel issues are sorted properly (by a different dealer?), the car could be fine thereafter.
May be less trouble to get it fixed than going the rejection route, but at least that option is there if you want it.

Hi, well I did have that replaced and then I got a letter saying the "switch" needed replacing too. Do you think it's possible that the spring would have been damaged when changing the ignition barrel?

Had what replaced..then the switch?

It may well be the steering wheel was removed.. with airbag..and clockspring

To gain access to the lock carrier
