Right now I have the stock Uconnect 5 with sat nav (the small one not the tablet version). Tipo lounge 1.6 petrol automatic. Let's see, bought it through amazon so worst case scenario I'll just return it
How do you mean the camera reverse is a pain? Didn't you say it is working fine? You want to swap the camera or the radio? And I've got no idea about fl wiring, no clue what that is lol. I'm just hoping it will be plug&play and all is going to work :|
Right so reversing camera use different interface. It works but previous radio software ( other ones I tried not last one) was disconnecting itself very often. Fl ( facelift) waiting slows you for upgrade to 7 inch version. It has 3 extra connectors. So back to the core of it, radio worked plug na play ( including steering wheel controls) but reversing camera was not very stable. It used small coaxial connector not chinch one provided with radios. That’s why I wanted standard chinch camera as it has power supply independent from signal connector.

I'm tempted as well, with the one you linked. Not quite so easy for me to return if it doesn't work though, as my car is in South Africa! Like Pman, it's a 1.6 petrol automatic, a saloon version, with the standard little head unit with sat nav, but of course before I order one to take out to SA, I need to be sure it will all work, hence awaiting your and pman's reports!

Mine need proxy. You also need security gate bypass as it’s after 2019, you’ll also need stabiliser as you have AGM battery not EFB.
