Technical Radio Upgrade to 7inch Uconnect

Hello,

I have recently purchased a 2020 Fiat Tipo Street Saloon and it comes with the basic radio with no touchscreen or satnav. I'm aware that the upgrade to the Uconnect 5 is easy and simple enough and I may yet select this option, but I was wondering if anyone has successfully upgraded from a basic system to a higher spec Uconnect 7 and how they went about it, and what they needed?

I don't want to upgrade to an aftermarket system as I want to keep it oem.

As far i i know you’ll need full wiring loom from any of sat nav versions, plus bits and bobs. I’ll do tutorial from 5 to 7 inch factory one

I’m in the middle of it so to speak, done some changes and so it’s works it’s just not assembled yet. I would
Say whole thing should be working and assembled by the end of next weekend 27th-28th hopefully

I’d love to see the outcome of this as i was thinking of upgrading my 5” nav to 7” nav with CarPlay.

I’ve read a lot on here the that after market is not possible yet on tipo nav devices due to the nav wiring loom no supported

It’s not supported on non dedicated devices like Pioneer Kenwood etc. Chinese works ( I had 2)
