Firstly hi all! I have just brought a 2000 ELX 1.6 as our main family car. All well and good so far, seems like its a great car.
Looking through the history I can see that it has not had a service for a time, but it has done very few miles since. Its due a cam belt change so to my first question...
How hard is this job? (I have done a belt before, but not for a few years)
Is there any instructions around to describe the process?
Do I need any special tools?
What parts are needed (if any) other than the belt?
Where is the best place to buy parts? (are there any good places online?)
I can't find a haynes manual for the car, but I guess a Bravo 1.6 manual would cover a lot of it?
Is there any other bits I should check out while doing the job?
Thanks in advance for any help you are able to offer.
Graham
