Technical new member question

Hi all

I have just been fixing an ignition problem on my 1.6 Bravo, turned out to be one of those little bits on top of a spark plug that had come loose, anyhow I also disconnected the battery terminal, whilst doing so I dropped my spanner down the front and when I was trying to retrieve it I noticed that underneath the air box was a piece of wiring conduit hanging down with a brown wire sticking out the end and another wire about 4" further up the conduit. It looks like it has been ripped off of something but everything seems to be working any body got any ideas ????

you'll find plenty of disconnected wires on most cars if you look for them. dont worry about it, the standard loom will always have some wires that are not used. it could be a damaged wire (if it looks cut or frayed), but if you notice no faults then it doesn't matter so dont worry.

If its cores showing perhaps worth putting some electrical tape over the end.
