Hello,

I recently bought a Fiat Stilo 1.2 16v and I'm loving it!

The only thing that is bugging me is the gear knob ( Carbon Style ). It's horrible. :bang:

I've been looking for a replacement, but I'm not really sure what to buy.

I searched on Eper from Fiat, but from what I can tell it costs around ( 100€ ?!?!? ). That's alot for a gear knob...

Can you guys tell me where I cand find a cheap and compatible one ?

Also, it's easy to replace ?

P.S- Sorry for my English, I'm from Portugal.

I recently bought a new gearknob for my Stilo. I bought the original from the dealers for £46 which is less than €100 but still a lot for a gearknob. You can get other aftermarket ones but they'll need to be compatible for lift reverse. The original gearknob is pressed into place hydraulically and fits onto "splines" on the gearstick, I removed it by popping the top off it and slicing it up with a Stanley knife, you might need a hammer and a piece of wood to get the new one on :) aftermarket ones are likely to be different though

Wouldn't be too difficult to make a tool to pull it off with.

Forks from a valve spring compressor and a long bolt perhaps.

you could probably use a windscreen wiper puller, couple of quid of ebay and i reckon you could just pop it off, or how i did in a few punto's and mareas, big set of grip tighten them up and turn destroys teh plastic gear knob and pulls off
