Right guys. Lets look at the possibility that the current host arent going to continue hosting. Firstly anyone got any ideas for a new webhost and secondly say its more expensive than the previous one would people be willing to contribute (this is to those that dont already)?

These guys seem very reasonable, don't use their space but have bought names off them.

I've sent a PM to Fishy Dave about this. The problem many "off the shelf" hosting packages would encounter is that FCCUK probably uses a LOT of bandwidth. I host a motorsport site and forum (http://www.formula1000.co.uk), which is small in camparison to FCCUK, and they get through a few GBs a month with no trouble.

I was about to say the same as H as i dont think we are anywhere near the 50gb bandwith that they have set us, i would expect more like 150-200gig a month considering the amount of people that use it as well as the amount of data we store in past posts

I personally would become a fccuk member now instead of waiting till april if it would help get it up and running quicker..

Not entirely a bad idea although personally i would want all the same features as our forum had because of the layout of it. I also have info i need like the group buy info.

well infos info, it would just be on this forum, rather than the old one

and if the FCCUK has been lost, then so's the info

dunno about the layout, but im sure it can be changed.

also, im sure it could save some money if you went into partnership with us also, youd gain the rest of us to talk to and knowledge about non-coops (if youd need it )

think, bigger meets, more members, can only be good in my book

Lol!! It doesn't take long for the mines faster than yours debate to start does it! But you're right, you probably would give an NA coop a good run, being lighter.

I think some of us 20VT folk would have to watch out for those blown Cinqs. They must be mad!!
