Technical New Engine and Transmission

Hi guys,

The engine of my car is dead (physically broken), since I'll have to buy another one, I would like to know which fiat modern engines/transmission do you recommend to replace the original engine?

My only requisites are:
-Availability of parts in Brazil
-Reliability
-Cost/effective
-Easy to do (less hard at least, with less personalized parts)
-Don't change appearance of the car
-Power between 100 and 200 horse power.

Any ideas? Someone did something next to it?

What do you think about VW TSI 1.4 engine? Does it fit?

Is a rebuild out of the question?
Don’t know where your based, but there’s a guy in Basildon who did me a complete rebuild for me about 10 years ago and she’s still going strong.
