Because I am so selfless I forced myself and the wife to go to "The Swan" for lunch today, solely so that I could try out the Xmas menu and report back to those of you attending next week. It's a hard job but somebody has to do it and luckily you guys have me to carry out this sort of thing on your behalf, lol.:yum: :yum: :yum:

Anyway, I have attached the Xmas menu (attachment 1) below for your perusal and if you would like to order from this then I need to know what you require in the next couple of days as it needs to be pre-ordered. Those of you who want to go down this route just let me know and I'll list you on the Festive Booking Form (attachment 2) and fax it through to the Swan. I'll pay the deposits and sort that out with you on Sunday.

The normal comphrehensive a la carte menu, comprising of Sunday Roast, Steaks, Fish, Lasagne, Steak and Ale Pie, Shepherds Pie etc etc. is order on the day as per normal.

Hope you all appreciate my self sacrifice on your behalf. ;)

Please get back to me with your order by Wednesday 6.00pm if you want the Christmas grub only, no need to reply if choosing from the normal menu.

Tony, the picture is so tiny that I'm only getting blur even with all the zoom! I've tried to go to the Swan's webpage to see the menu, but it seems not to be working peoplerly... Enlarge please :)

Sorry Mel, had a problem with the internet and attachment sizes so I have added pics from my gallery so try again and let me know. Failing that I'll do them again from work tomorrow.

Hi, thanks for your hard work/eating on our behalf!

Not sure if you wanted reply by PM or on here but as this is easy here goes: Julie will have the melon to start then the turkey and choc fudge cake for desert (diet starts in the New Year!) and I will go with the prawn cocktail (not had that for years :)) then the beef and cheese biscuits please (not going to bother with diet it's too late!)
Looking forward to seeing you all next Sunday.
