My plan list (am no paying but):

Good thing about the GP is they are 4x100, so his civic stuff could be reused.

- Alloys powder coated and keep it goldish colour
- Fit those 6 pot calipers that were on the civic
- Slam with coilovers hopefully with damping and rebound adjustments
- Poly bushes all around but no one makes them :(
- Intercooler ? (not sure if it is worth it)
- Brace bar out its nut
- Exhaust

-Then a remap on a rolling road :D !

Sounds like a good plan, just need to get Gary to pay for it all (LOL)

dad had a remap box on and it just up the pressure in the fuel rail. if fiat see it all warrenties are viod as the fuel rail is a weakness. more than enough people i know broke theirs lol. jatkinsons dad has one on his diesel multipla aswell and unless its on low (not worth it) it brings engine light on due to the increased pressure and af mix

Do you know how much pressure they run at the fuel rail on these things? Also Andi... notice the list Ycming put up it clearly states "My list".... lol I am now regretting this decision because all I am going to get is him on my case buy this buy that .... I don't made from £££ bro!!! pmsl hehehe

Think there's more engine modding for the T-Jet due to the Abarth connection, but I'm sure other bits can be sourced. Can't remember if standard Abarth runs Brembo's or if it's the Esse Esse version. If your porting the Civic's ones across though, no point in investing in them :p

my box is roughly from my 120hp up to around the 150-160hp but other have had more id have to have a RR to prove it but a rolling road remap is genneraly just the same as the box but the box you just unplug it when you dont want it on there for warranties purposes :D
i think the figures are 150hp with 220lbfts of torque

Nah it's Vauxhall and Saab. Although there's a deal in the pipeline for some Fiats to be rebadged as VWs so maybe soon they will be as reliable as they claim to be.

Not sure about VW connections, Vauxhall have just signed a deal with fiat for doblo vans to be rebadged as combo's from 2012

rr map changes timing and spray length ect. if digital the box litereally does just putmore pressure on the fuel rail (making more come out in the same time) its the same as just accelerating abit more at any given time, of course top end it gets more fuel in than can be acheived without it though and thats where you get the gain. (they definatly do get a gain top end, and i can see the apeal probably safe if not wacked up to full.)

if analouge its identical to a resister mod on a petrol. runs it on cold so it puts more diesel in anyways.

dont know the standard pressure on the fuel rail sorry gary.

130bhp standard and a rr will see 170 with a 2 year warrenty :) safest bet imo.

poly bush's wont be needed as its pretty new car so standard ones are good enough, the wheel bearings go alot on these as there a gm part (corsa d) so keep a ear out for them, also there is a problem with the milage flashing on the speedo unit, there is no cure and no one knows why it does it lol.

what alloys he got on it, the 17" mjet ones i quite like. and a bigger intercooled on a derv..... why :p

It kinda make no sense that they just whack up the fuel pressure, yes increase pressure will increase flow assume everything else is constant but the increment in increase flow is not proportional to increase in pressure. Infact IIRC the calculation will shows that the increment is rather little by simply increasing the pressure. Just thought would be a better approach to increase the injector opening time?!?!?! Just a thought...

aye digital boxes up the pressure and (if you buy a expensive one) they can be wired to control injector timing. however it is the increase in pressure than cracks the rails. lots of it on ff about it.
most are just one plug into the fuel rail rail.

analogue box's just up the pressure like a resistor mod.

im not saying they dont work, infact im saying they do work, but be carefull if you install one. if you know the risk its up to you lol they work for years on some no worries.

which everyou get the lambdas read wrong and so do some other sensors, thats all fine within parameter but if its way out (higher settings) it will also knock the gp into limp mode. as said here on ff.

"If I put my foot down a bit too quickly the car goes in to limp mode and the turbo doesn't work until I switch off the ignition and turn back on..."

oh and gary. dont think anyone answered earlier, they hold the road well. 20mm lower and stiffer than normal, diesels have a lower brace too iirc where as the petrols dont. 195 45 rubber and lots of go... brakes are like all modern cars slightest touch and there on lol.

Sound sweeet Steve... actually I still haven't drove the thing yet.. didn't get a chance to test drive before I buy... Now I am anticipated to and see what it can do :D :D :D

not sure, it has esr spin regulator. but i thin there is a sensor on the hub, so aslong as that stays the same, but im sure you will find standard disks all round to be fine you know lol.

Is just if we fit the brakes and wheels, then part of the civic/JDMness will still be lvinig on :) .

And it looks ace having different caliper :p

Ming is going nuts.. and I haven't even got the car... he wants me to put on the 6 pots calipers that I have lying around onto it already :S I am starting to ask the question have I made the right decision already hehehehe lol :p

Right you need to uprate the brakes because the standard ones are crap!! the handling is not as good as the petrol sporting but with extra 10bhp on the T-jet who cares? it is still pretty quick!! and a lowering on eibachs will probably sort that problem!!

TMC tuning boxes arent that far off the remap mark for a fraction of the price, and you cant resell a remap! :p

Oh.... and welcome to the M-jetters!
