I'm with you there Rob.
Only Diesel I've had for a while was after my first car accident, insurance company put in contact with Europcar.
Went from driving a 1.1 Petrol Citroen Saxo, to driving a 1.6 TDI ZETEC Ford Fusion (Top of the range model back in 2008) , which had 132 miles on the clock, as it had only been hired out once before I had it.
Hated it with a vengance at first, but then after about week & a half, loved it to bits.
Heated Front & Rear windscreen, Built in CD Player (Very good), didn't want to hand the keys back when te hire company came to collect it.

Yep its kinda odd to get use to it for now, as I drove petrol all my life so far... first Diesel... managed 45mph average... will have a better go on return trip though.... had a section away from half tank... killed it and refilled on route :S

It is a little strange getting used to the diesel, I had petrol for 2 years then went 1.9 JTD. In saying that I drove my mates RX8 in the summer and I just couldn't get used to leaving it in gear over 2/3k RPM haha.

But now I am used to the diesel my 2.2 i-CTDI Civic doesn't fall that far behind his RX8 if we are pushing on a bit and I still have to get a remap too perhaps I will shock him lol

but back to the main point . . . get the camera out and start snapping

More like get my finger out and start cleaning it lol... after a 150mile journey lastnite its dirty again... will see if I can find a jet wash somewhere tonite and get some pictures going Another excuse to go out for a drive and oh.... blue and me is keeping me entertained hehehehe Still to read the manual though :S :S :S :S

get the eco drive ap. you put it on a pen drive and plug it in the glove box. it will tell you wheather your using your clutch too early chaning too late ect and mapp the mpg your getting on a graph its reallllly good.

as you can see iti shows when you use any pedals and when and what gear your using/changing its great lol

One thing I wish the Stilo had, but was only rolled out towards the end of it's life. I do wonder how easy it'd be to retrofit though.

not easy at all. they go straight back to the ecu and are linked to pretty much all sensors, airbags, steeringwheel pita.
