Hi all, i've recently changed my ecu (iaw 5nf.t1 on stilo 1.6 16v) since the old one was broken ... basically the car was running in limp mode when i bought it, it took me and my friend some time to figure out the ecu was shafted... the car runs fine now except for the lights on the dash display flashing like a xmas tree! and rev counter, odometer not working at all, and message display stuck on showing 0:02 time :D ... also the remote control on the keys is not working (is this something to do with the immobiliser ?). I thought the instrument cluster plugs directly into the bcu, so changing the ecu shouldn't affect it. Do i need to do a proxy alignment ?

The instrument cluster wasn't working properly with the old ecu either (rev counter and odomoter not working + some lights on it going on when they shouldn't) so maybe this is broken as well. Do you think flashing the new ecu with the map file from the old ecu would help at all, or do you think it's just a case of doing proxy alignment and/or changing the instrument cluster ? Would a proxy alignment sort out the problem with the immobiliser as well ? (the remote control on the keys .. i have 2 keys .. both worked for a bit with the old ecu then both suddenly stopped working before i changed the ecu ... no idea why).

Cheers (y)

Hi my friend.
It seems that we have the same vehicle and I met the same problem.
Can you send me the map file for the IAW 5NF.T1 ecu (stilo 1.6).
I want to change the ecu and i would like to flash the new one.

Thanks!
