Hi I am tempted to get a new ducato 3,500kg panal van! Two engines I am looking at are the 150bhp and 180bhp long wheel base with the roof one down from the max available! Think it's a techno speck in silver! Any advice will be very much appreciated !(y)

Do you want economy? If so how do you drive on motorways, a roads? and do you cover a lot of miles?

I used to do the same delivery round trip every day, 90% motorway, approx 250 miles, I would do about 130 miles 50-55 mph the rest 60-65

Load was light.

My old 120 57plate averaged 36 mpg

Bought 130 euro 5 in sept 12,
Managed 31mpg!!

Got rid, trialled a 150, 33mpg

Bought 3.0 180, 2yrs ago, was getting 49mpg

That run unfortunately ended not long after,
Now I do all sorts, all over the place, general mpg 35-42 just depends on terrain, and if I'm in a rush, worst I've seen is 32mpg Edinburgh back to rugby last week due to mission get home to bed!

They were/are L4H2 Ducato Maxi, Michelin boots, always running BP or Shell (supermarket fuel is not good for ducatos) 200,000 miles covered, she still runs sweet :)

Like Rolopolo I used to have the 3.0 150bhp but got a new 3.0 180 in Feb this year, now done 30.000 miles and never get less than 40mpg. Also the power is fantastic. Reason why I go for the 3.0 is the extra oomph and no cambelt changes.
