hi guys just bought some super white H1s for the bravo's dipped. however they are 100watts and upon reading the manual the standard ones are only 55w.

Will i need to uprate the fuses for these bulbs, and if so, what fort of ammpage fuse would i be looking to get?

thanks

Uprated (racing) bulbs (not the +30 or +50 but 100W ones) are quite dangerous:

1. they produce more heat which will eventually kill the mirrors by both burning out metallization and melting the plastics the reflectors are made of

2. they use more power which will lead to wiring overheating and shorts (if not fire)

Plus... they're not legal for road use, as can be seen here

AND you will dazzle other road users, and let me tell you, I would be the first to come knocking at your door I if I were to have an accident caused by that. :D :D

fair enough then, ill just put them in the fogs.

That'd be even worse. They spread light more. Now spot lights on high beam, brilliant :D Besides, the last thing you want in fog is really bright lights. :D

Totally, what your best to do is possibly put one in and see how bright they are, so you can judge how they would affect oncoming drivers. If you think they're too bright wihich i imagine they will be you could put them in as your full beam. Although you'll then need to be doubly quick to switch it off.
