neon help part 2 TOM!!!!!!

hmm ok fitted the front NICE and easy. fitted teh rear nice and esy then o dear the rear breaks GRRRRR. so off to get another tomorrow. not to worry wire it all up ready for the rear sorted. so we got for the side and think ok. drill 2 holes on the side skirts underside and sit in in the side skirt. no drilling the car then all on plastic. job gets done hand my mate his cash and drive off till wednesday.

just checked it and the front is ok (bearing in mind these r free maxpower ones). but cos it site right in the skirt u dont get much of a glow from the side skirt. D'OH,

where do i drill it to so i get best glow from them. was thinking og drilling it to the sill but my mate said he doesnt know if that goes straight to the inside of the car.

To get the best glow from the front i got two short lengths of flat metal and attached them to the bumper so that the neon could sit on that away from the bumper, gives it a better effect in my opinion.

Just stick em on and drill away I didnt manage to hit anything...i dont think!

I think its all pretty much hollow under there, or from the holes i drilled it seemed to be. Unless your going to be using huge screws you should be fine.

when i first got my neons i was so keen to fit them i just drilled away and didnt even think about what i was hitting !lol, and turned out ok.

they are off now and i have put screw in hole and silicone selaer over it.

my mate bought an LED kit and it just gave you doublesided tape lie what is used on bumpstrips etc to hold the tubes on!

as long as you can clean the surface up that shoudl be ok i guess? they aint exeactly heavy are they?

hmm i might just leave them where they r. u know the side skirt. has that ridge along the bottom. i screwed it to that, maybe i will invest inbrighter ones later on or something

i thik it would be expensive, but you could stick some of that mirror fil you can buy to go under your bonnet on the sill of the car to reflect more light down?

i knwo where you mean, i didnt put mine there as i oftern whip my skirts off to jack it up more easily,

if i bought another set i'd probably try and stick it to the outside edge of the skirt, if that makes sense, and put in some easy connectors to unplug them.

or just screw them into sill again! lol
