ummmm, sort of, more just "driving lights" they can legally (putting asside the HID issue) be used as normal dipped beams, as the beam pattern will conform, and they can be dipped.
ive gone for 3000k for superior fog penetration though....
The may be the correct beam pattern, but won't conform to the location issues will they being that low.
Driving lights with the main beam sound good though as your current headlight setup hasn't got HID main beams has it?
Just I personally can't see a benefit if used as fogs as they would probably cause alot of glare from bounce back in the fog and beam pattern wont be covering the edge of the road as well as proper fog units would they?
last time i looked, dipped beams can be at any height, only restriction is distance from edge of car, mine will be inline with current lights, so legal....

I guess ill put them in and ill use them in situations that they are useful in, i expect that they will be excellent in fog, because of the colour, specifically that colour is used to cut through fog...
tbh i only "met" two forumers....volxstu and FionaB.... and according to Davren i had first refusal on the hill run, but missed out on that due to my apparent reclusiveness.....i promise ill make more noise next time
errrm yeah im gonna try, i may be late though ill need to take a day off work....
