need help with my fiat brava all the dials have stopped working

i went over a bump in the road and my speedo,temprature,and petol gauges stopped working does anyone have any idea whats gone wrong before i have to take it to a garage and spend lots of money my car is a fiat brava 1.4 sx 12v 1997 R reg apart from this problem the car is running fine

i would say one of the wires for your dash electrics has become displaced.

this could be simple or a pain in the arse tbh mate

easy fix, strip the dash down (selection of 4 mm allen bolts) remove dials, unplug both connectors and reconnect) this usually does the trick

second option is auto spark to see what the problem is really, but have a look at it yourself first, darn sight cheaper and easier

im not being funny but have u tried the fuses becaue mine kept on blowing because i put the wrong amp fuse in since i put the right one in its fine now

Check the fuses mine blew other day as i had dash out and i put wrong amp fuse in.I think its the bottom one in the middle.The plugs are very unlikley to come out of the back of display as these are normally locked in

if your radio works, its the clocks, if the radio doesn't, then its almost certainly the fuse. most often the fuse for the speedo is the same as the stereo. i discovered this by accidently shorting the power cable that feeds the cigarette lighter while connecting my interior neons to it.

thanks again for your answers i now know what is was a wire broke behind the dash wear the dials are having it fixed for free because i did'nt relise that the garage i bought it from would be so resonable as to have it fixed for me at no cost they said they rely on reputation and do not want me to be disatisfied with my car. Its a shame not all garages are like this as i only paid £900 for the car in the first place how lucky am i.
