I have a 1.6 16v 3dr stilo, and the front brake discs have 'warped' as described by the mechanic I know. Im still don't entirely understand how it happened but it's clear the both front discs are no longer flat and curve outwards. Which means they rub against the brake pads.

This causes continuous high pitched squeeling which varies in volume by which way or how much I'm steering and it's driving me up the wall so I need new ones.

I'd love to upgrade but I dont have the money and the tyre web manager I know said he'll fit the brakes as long as they go straight on like the OEM's for £50 which I think is a fair price.

I found these :

What you think? Can i find any better discs and pads for under £100?

Thanks for your help (y)

AustinUK,
Are you sure they are warped? can you feel any vibration in pedal or steering when you apply the brakes?
If the squeek only occurs when you turn left or right, could it no be something catching....maybe the disc guard behind the disc, we've had causing odd noises before when it's been caught and pushed close to the disc.

How many miles have the brakes covered? or are just the pads worn right down?

As for recommendations, people have their favourite brands, there are loads of brake threads on her with reviews for EBC, Reddot, Mintex, etc.
Your vehicle usage and driving style will effect what brake discs/pads you want to consider.
I myself am currently using Reddot 6 grooved discs and Reddot XF (i think) pads all round.
I myself wouldn't be a product like brakes from ebay but that's just me. LOL. If you don't need performance brakes then any local motor factor can provide a decent set of discs from motorquip or similar.

Just my input, :)

Motor factor would be a cheaper option IMO ..saving the postage on ebay items ..:)

Try EBC groved discs with red pads. Fitted them to my abarth & give good stoping. The red pads give verry little dust on alloys unlike normal pads. Worth extra & are straight swap.

Those dont match up with the price he wants to pay..he only wants to spend around £100 and what you got is way over budget..
