The practicality of the 5 door would be good, but you need Abarth trim to make the looks acceptable IMO, MY04 has been an improvement, as all 5doors are now fully colour coded. 3 door with black rubbing strips looks ok, but the 5 door just doesn't quite pull it off.

True, but it was a joint decision between me and the mrs, even though I bought her the Ulysse last year. She liked everything about it as well, 5 doors, colour, whereas I was looking at under the bonnet.

I also didn't want to buy new again, so this one, with 16k on the clock and 2 y/o did seem pretty ideal.

Still, a cracking car. Hopefully it will remain that way, I am expecting the odd niggle along the way.

I reckon next I won't buy brand new again, let someone else cop the depreciation! With getting mine cheap, I thought I wouldn't lose too much, but I still reckon I've lost a couple of thousand on it. Only trouble when I bought mine was there weren't many JTD's kicking around second hand, and the couple I did see were in dearships for not much less than I paid.

Stick up some pics of your back garden Stu, I'm intrigued now :D

I was in the same boat when I came to buy the Ulysse - getting the big discount from new was the only option, because back then the Ulysse was [and still is] a rare beast. However, we do intend to keep it a few good years, considering annual mileage about 10k a year. That is the cost of motoring, I suppose.......

Back garden pics?! Haven't got any to hand, and in a bit of a tip at the mo [any offers to cut a 250 foot lawn, with hedge, anyone?]

@Shrek, it is def worth a look. You local to me at all, if so we could no doubt arrange a meeting :)

Nice one Stu, i like the idea of it being understated.....

Oh and about your lawn, I love lawn mowing!

Will do, i love mowing - I really honestly do. My grandpa's garden is huge and I spend hours making it perfect with lines using the roller etc. and cut to a perfect height, tomorrow is my afternoon for it :D I love the power of the engine (imagine what I am like in a car!) and the challenge of doing it perfectly...

The two jobs I would love to do are mowing and policeman.
