says in his description....all seats re-trimmmed. Don't think he's a liar :p

haha..

its a combination of the two, because i couldn't be without the car for a week or however long it was going to take, all the standard covers were removed from the seats, these were then trimmed and sent back to me, and i refitted them to the seats, so realy.. they are covers lol, because all seats are cover's but they are retimmed, all to the exact same stitching lines as the standard seats. :)

i hear that said alot.. that people obviously have to much money, and its hardly ever true. It really grinds my gears when people say that. Its obviously coyles passion his car and so he's spent loads, if you want it bad enough you'll work hard enough to get it. I know loads of 'well off' people into cars and none of them have a car as outrageous as this one.

I'll be the first to admit that i don't have the same kind of dedication to my cars, i love them to bits but i know i will never build a car that is this far gone, I have nothing but respect for people who do though. It got naff all to do with finances, i'm just not that inclined to spend as much time, cash and effort as others are.

rant over.

too right mate..

i dont have too much money, i just chose to use alot of the money i earn on my car. (this does not please my girlfriend or parents lol)

if i had too much money i would have taken my car to Xquisite or Kenny Laird with a blank cheque and told them to do what they wanted..

but i didn't, i decided the route i wanted to take the car.. and slowly went for it.

It didn't happen over night, i had it done bit by bit, when i could afford it. the major changes have all happened this year though, but i had been saving for the work for a while. and its not far off complete.
new alarm with poppers etc should be fitted in the next couple of weeks, and with any luck the smoothing of the side strips, door handles etc will be doen next month.

people say "i have too much money, i waste my money, why not buy something better like a BMW" i reckon they are jealous lol.. if it was that easy, why wouldn't everyone with a few grand have a head turning unique car?

Coyle,

Just out of interest and if you don't think i'm rude for asking, how much roughly has the car set you back, excluding original purchase? you've got to be over the £5k mark surely??
:):)

Dont get why people do this. **** money into a car finish it and sell it straight away.

its not finished though.. to finish it would cost me about another £1k or so. just trying to work out if its worth it.

my options are.

1)Spend the extra to finish it
2)Leave it as it is (fix it 1st)
3)sell up and get something else
4)keep it, and try to afford to get soemthing else aswell :p

well having known a few show car owners i think its the need to tinker that makes them get new cars and the old car usually has to go in order to fund the next project.

Coyle, does it cost you alot to run this car, as in insurance etc? if so don't fool yourself into thinking you can do another without selling. Is just my opinion on the matter but keep it for now, at least for the summer ;)

well just to say...
when i saw the beast at oulton park a few weeks ago it look fantastic!
just a question as you say you have spent over 5 grand on the car have you made anyy money back or anything from shows? I.E. I was there wen u wont the £50 worth of stuff at oulton but what other stuff have you got from car showing?

Cheers dude, I've made abit back from showing i suppose.. mainly on tickets etc. i won £50 odd quid worth of stuff at modified live. I got quite abit of free stuff at ISTS. I got a Mag feature (priceless lol) and was on max power stand at ISTS and Modded Nationals. and i got a few bits and bob's free at modified nationals.

I get my show tickets free for me and my mates, and did for Modified nationals (thats saved me approx £200 so far, and will save more through the show year etc)The attention it gets is worth more than money though mate, its very cool and puts a smile on your face when people compliment you, and recognise the effort you've put in!

It doesn't cost too much to run realy mate. but realistically i think i would have to sell it in order to fund a new one.. ie, i'd like a 350z convertible lol. which wouldn't be as cheap to run :p
I think i will keep this for another year though. I had been using a different car all week, and i drove mine again this morning, and i miss the feeling of beeing in a real head turning car lol. what an attention seeker i am

Can see the appeal with the 350Z for sure, quite like them myself. They look nicely unfussy and the engine sounds pretty sweet too. Wouldn't mind one for my next set of wheels, but I'll probably end up with an earlier Jap car next...S14a/300ZX/ek9 CTR or if I can afford one an S2K :D Wouldn't mind a classic shape Impreza, but they're getting harder to find in decent nick these days.

On the topic of your car though, I still rather like it. I'd never take mine that far as I don't think I could live with it on a day to day basis. Apart from the stupid amount of bumps and potholes where I stay (RGZ on the Eibachs is rather firm), I'd be terrified it'd get scratched or dented after spending all that time and effort on it. Still though, got great respect for what you've managed to achieve with it (y)

Jap cars are the power houses! lol

where abouts in glasgow do you live mate?
i'm from glasgow originally

Living in Paisley bout 15 miles down the road from Glasgow itself, but good reference point for anyone who doesn't know Scotland to get an idea where I'm from :D Not the best area in the world, but a heck of a lot cheaper than Glasgow.

Really fancy trying something rwd next hence the leaning towards that in the one's I mentioned. Quite fancy a VTEC as well as the ability to rev something over 8000rpm sounds like fun :D
