Greetings to you all in this forum

I am hoping to get some assistance with my 2002 Fiat Stilo 1.6 16v.

The engine is just cranking but not starting up the message on the dash is Security Check Failure Loose Connection.

The long and short of it all is that the car was initially giving me problems of just cutting off out of the blue when I reached a Stop Sign or stopped at a robot sometimes it would give a display of ASR loose connection when it cuts off but it will immediately start up again when you start it up but cut again when you reach a stop sign or robot. Went to a mechanic who suggested i replace the fuel pump which I did car was fine for just a few miles took it to the local car wash upon starting it up problem came back car just cut out while idling.

I managed to drive home with it busy cutting and jerking decided to call a mechanic to come fetch the car to check whats wrong he called me after a few minutes to tell me the car just wont start:mad::mad:

I then went to his workshop and found the car displaying Security Check Failure Loose Connection we then tried the following:

-Changed the crankshaft sensor
-Checked the connections on the ECU
-Opened the ECU to check if maybe its burned or something
-Took the ECU to be checked they said its fine
-Checked connections under the fuse box next to the battery
-Changed the car battery

Upon busy trying to start the car you can hear one of the relays on the fuse box click (just once) every time you try to start so we are not sure if its electrical circuit fault or what:bang::bang::bang:

It is really starting to test my patience to the limit your help will be highly appreciated

Did you check the actual fuses in the fusebox? ( Next to the battery ).

Otherwise it might be a bad ECU. ( BGA solder ).

Your problem is with the (+) terminal on the battery.
Take it out of the car and clean all parts bolts fuses and be sure it transmits the electric. I mean every part never skip any part of it.
100% it will work

Let me show you what LooseConnection is:

This is one of the many things that can trigger the Loose Connection warning message. It will not always be corroded terminals.
