i wish i could have it, i really do but i have no way of getting it, affording insurance, and affording to buy it in the first place. if i did have money this car would be parked around the back of our house going through "the dragon man treatment"
(complete interior strip, clean, put back together again, undersealed and cavity waxed)

Actually I was thinking (where's the cogs whirring smilie?? :spin: ) that if Adam Aston Martin doesn't want to bring it down South, maybe it could get to John Dragon Man
From there John could potentially work on it for a share of whatever, or even break it (though it seems far too good and would be a last resort).
I can't go to Hull to collect it, and have nowhere to put it realistically either, and I guess VmanC is in a similar situation. Funding it could be something we could help out with though....... :idea:

I'm still willing to drive the selecta down south - as long as it's fuelled and return ticket to the North is provided!

Just had a chat with Gavin and here is our proposed plan.....
If you and CLS can arrange to get it to CLS with a full tank of fuel, then CLS brings it to Alton, Gavin and I will pay £200 + Johns return ticket.
It would not be a big deal for me to sort the issues and save the car, less the roof bars which will find their way onto the Panda Panda project.

I'm sure Dragon Man's folks would be thrilled to have another Fiat/Seat on the premises

Still valid on Friday 31st though!
Ugh, Friday traffic, if you drove it to mine on Thursday (tomorrow!) I'd give you a lift back home (or to the station), it would be on its way to Panda Central by 11am the next day.
:idea: I could meet homeward halfway and make him take a test drive.
I haven't driven a mk2 since Thoresby, need a fix
